Sturm-Katastrophe: Supertaifun Sinlaku zerstört Marianeninseln – 45.000 Menschen evakuiertSupertaifun Sinlaku trifft die Ferienregion der Marianeninseln im Westpazifik mit voller Wucht. Mit bis zu 210 km/h fegt der Sturm über die Inseln, entwurzelt Bäume, beschädigt Häuser und legt Stromleitungen lahm. Das öffentliche Leben steht still. Besonders kritisch: Flutwellen von bis zu neun Metern sowie akute Gefahr von Überschwemmungen und Erdrutschen. Der Sturm zieht langsam weiter und kann dadurch zusätzliche Zerstörung verursachen. Rund 45.000 Menschen wurden evakuiert, etwa 400 Touristen sitzen fest.
