The Bible teaches us that a wife should respect her husband as the leader of the marriage. Part of respecting your husband is giving him time to think and make decisions. Making decisions requires time and patience.
A Christian wife should embrace being a submissive wife and strive to honor her husband. Some women will say, well he doesn't deserve respect. But as a godly woman, you choose to respect your husband because you are a woman of respect, not necessarily because he deserves it all the time. A decent man who is treated with respect and given time to think will make better choices for your marriage and family. Your whole marriage could change just from your decision to be respectful, honor his leadership and stop nagging him.
1 Peter 3:1-6 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives.
A submissive wife is a godly wife. One way to be submissive is to stop nagging your husband and give his soul time to rest and make decisions rationally. A man who is nagged to death is not going to be his best for your marriage. He is not going to make the best decisions. He is just agreeing to shut you up. How is that honoring and respecting your husband?
A Christian marriage honors God. A Christian marriage follows 1 Corinthians 11:3. A Christian marriage deserves a strong leader as a husband and a supportive, submissive wife. A submissive wife does not nag her husband. If she starts to nag, she will notice it, stop nagging and apologize. If her husband speaks up and asks her to stop nagging, she won't get defensive, she will apologize, learn some patience and give him the space to decide what's best.
Christian women, stop being modern women and step into your biblical role of a wife. Become a submissive wife who honors her husband's masculinity. Allow your husband to lead you. Stop being a modern woman. If you take any relationship advice, it would be to follow the Bible and become a submissive wife. Your husband's masculinity is very important for you and for him. Stop tearing him down. You don't want an emasculated man. Modern women say they want a leader and not an emasculated man, but they do everything in their power to take away his masculinity.
God made a husband masculine and a wife feminine. Follow your biblical roles and become a submissive wife and support your husband's leadership.
