Sepuluh anggota keluarga pemimpin tertinggi Hamas itu tewas dalam serangan udara Israel di Jalur Gaza pada 25 Juni 2024 waktu setempat lalu.
Pesawat tempur Israel menyerang rumah keluarga Haniyeh di kamp pengungsi Al-Shati di Gaza barat pada hari Selasa (25/6/2024) lalu.
Sebelumnya diketahui, ketiga putra Haniyeh terbunuh pada Rabu (10/4/2024) lalu bersama anak-anak mereka dalam serangan Israel di kamp Al-Shati.
Kemudian, pada November 2023, cucunya, Ruaa, terbunuh dalam serangan Israel di Kota Gaza di bagian utara jalur tersebut.
Pembunuhan saudara perempuan dan kerabat Haniyeh pada hari Selasa 25 (6/2024) lalu bertepatan dengan pembantaian lain yang dilakukan oleh Israel di seluruh wilayah tersebut.
Lima warga Palestina, termasuk anak-anak, tewas dalam serangan Israel di sebelah barat Kota Gaza di utara.
Penembakan Israel terhadap kamp Maghazi di Gaza tengah juga menewaskan lima warga sipil, tiga di antaranya anak-anak.
Di kota paling selatan di Jalur Gaza, Rafah, dua orang tewas dan lainnya terluka dalam serangan Israel.
Sejak memulai serangan di Rafah pada tanggal 7 Mei 2024 lalu, pasukan Israel telah menghadapi perlawanan sengit.
Yakni dari sayap bersenjata Hamas, Brigade Qassam, dan kelompok lain, termasuk Brigade Quds dari gerakan Jihad Islam Palestina (PIJ).
Meski berhasil merebut dan menghancurkan perbatasan kota tersebut, pasukan Israel tidak mampu membasmi perlawanan Palestina di Rafah.
Di mana yang sebelumnya diklaim Tel Aviv sebagai benteng terakhir Hamas.
Sementara itu, pejuang Brigade Qassam masih bercokol di Gaza.
