Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Gerindra Habiburokhman membantah isu Presiden Joko Widodo menawarkan anak bungsunya, Kaesang Pangarep untuk menjadi pendamping Ridwan Kamil di Pilgub Jakarta.Habiburokhman mengklaim usulan cagub-cawagub tidak bersumber dari atas ke bawah melainkan dari bawah ke atas. Ia menyebut partai Gerindra akan menjaring aspirasi masyarakat terlebih dulu baru membawanya ke forum berjenjang hingga ke ketua umum partai.
Ia menilai pernyataan Sekjen PKS Habib Aboe Bakar Al Habsyi Terlalu prematur. Karena menurutnya hingga kini belum ada partai politik yang sudah final mengusung satu pasangan calon.
