TRIBUN-SULBAR.COM MAJENE, – Gelombang aksi mahasiswa di Kabupaten Majene terus membesar. Setelah sebelumnya memblokade jalan utama menuju DPRD, ribuan mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam Solidaritas Perjuangan Mahasiswa Majene (SPMM) kini mengepung Markas Polres Majene, Sabtu (30/8/2025).
Ribuan massa memenuhi halaman hingga jalan di sekitar Mapolres Majene.
Akibatnya, aktivitas warga di kawasan itu lumpuh total.
Arus lalu lintas terhenti karena konsentrasi massa menutup akses masuk dan keluar kantor polisi.
Dalam orasinya, mahasiswa menegaskan bahwa kepungan ini merupakan bentuk perlawanan atas ketidakadilan.
Mereka mendesak aparat kepolisian untuk benar-benar berpihak pada rakyat, bukan menjadi alat penguasa.
“Hari ini kami mengepung Polres Majene untuk mengingatkan polisi, tugas kalian adalah menjaga rakyat, bukan membungkam suara mahasiswa,” teriak salah satu orator dari atas mobil komando, disambut sorakan ribuan massa.
Suasana semakin memanas ketika mahasiswa bergantian menyuarakan tuntutan.
Massa aksi menilai keberadaan DPRD Majene sudah gagal mewakili kepentingan rakyat, sehingga harus dibubarkan.
Hingga berita ini diturunkan, ribuan mahasiswa masih bertahan mengepung Polres Majene.
Mereka merencanakan akan kepung Gedung DPRD Kabupaten Majene setelah orasi di depan Polres Majene.
Hingga kini jalan masih diblokade dan sebagian massa mulai menuju ke Gedung DPRD Majene.
Aparat kepolisian terlihat memperketat penjagaan di pintu masuk kantor, sementara mahasiswa terus menyuarakan orasi di jalanan.
