RCMP union demands answers over CBC’s fake interview scandal
The fallout from the CBC’s alleged undercover “prank” operation keeps growing, and now Canada’s largest police union is demanding answers.National Police Federation president Brian Sauvé joins Kris Sims to discuss allegations that current and former RCMP officers were lured into fake media interviews under the guise of being honoured for their service, only to be confronted on camera in what critics are calling an unethical ambush.
Sauvé says multiple Mounties may have been targeted, raising serious concerns about trauma, consent, and whether officers were free to leave once inside the studio.
With CBC receiving $1.4 billion annually from taxpayers, Sims asks the question many Canadians are now asking: who approved this, and how much did it cost?
