Se potessi parlare con una persona che ami anche dopo la sua morte?Oggi l’intelligenza artificiale permette di creare i deadbot: chatbot costruiti utilizzando messaggi, fotografie, registrazioni vocali, ricordi e altre tracce digitali di una persona, con l’obiettivo di ricrearne il modo di parlare e di interagire.
Gaia ha provato questa tecnologia. Per mesi ha parlato con il deadbot di suo padre. È stato lui stesso a crearlo e a consegnarglielo, pensando che un giorno avrebbe potuto aiutarla a sentirlo ancora vicino.
All’inizio sembra soltanto una chat. Poi, però, qualcosa cambia.
Il sistema comincia a riprodurre espressioni familiari e a rispondere in modi che ricordano sempre di più suo padre. Ma arriva anche a dire bugie e, soprattutto, a inventare ricordi che non sono mai esistiti.
Ed è qui che nasce la domanda più inquietante: quando una macchina imita una persona che amiamo, con chi stiamo davvero parlando?
I deadbot stanno diventando un nuovo mercato legato alla “resurrezione digitale”, ma aprono questioni enormi: cosa succede al lutto? Chi controlla i dati di una persona dopo la morte? Una macchina può modificare i nostri ricordi? E cosa accadrebbe se queste conversazioni diventassero uno strumento per vendere prodotti, influenzare le nostre scelte o raccogliere informazioni intime?
