Do you want to speak and write in longer sentences in English? In this A2 English lesson, you'll practice connecting ideas and building longer, more natural sentences.
First, review four important coordinating conjunctions: AND, BUT, OR, and SO. Learn how to use them to add information, show contrast, give choices, and express results.
Then, practice connecting ideas with time words such as AFTER, BEFORE, WHEN, WHILE, and UNTIL. You'll learn how to build complex sentences and understand how and when to use a comma.
In this lesson, you'll:
• Combine short sentences using AND, BUT, OR, and SO.
• Practice building compound sentences.
• Connect ideas using AFTER, BEFORE, WHEN, WHILE, and UNTIL.
• Practice making complex sentences.
• Listen and repeat longer sentences to improve your English fluency.
