怕別人不高興，你就很難替自己做決定｜有些選擇，本來就會讓人不舒服【一天聽一點260909】
明明知道有些話該說清楚，可是一想到對方可能失望、生氣，你就決定再等等。等到最後，事情沒有解決，自己的需要也被擱在一旁。很多時候，我們遲遲不敢行動，是希望找到一種誰都不會難受的做法。但溝通技巧再好，也沒辦法把績效面談講成生日祝福。有些選擇，本來就會讓人不舒服。
如果對方一不高興，你就改變決定，久了，誰的情緒最大，誰便取得最後的決定權。我們有責任減少不必要的傷害，卻沒有責任消除所有的不舒服。
這集《一天聽一點》，我想從沉沒成本與結果偏誤，談談我們如何在關係裡失去判斷：因為過去付出太多，繼續拿未來替過去買單；因為對方生氣，就認定自己做錯；因為退讓換來平靜，便忽略長期委屈的代價。
關係辛苦，不必立刻導向離開。真正值得問的是：這段關係今天還有沒有值得繼續的理由？如果留下來只是為了證明過去沒白費，未來又要付出多少？
決定與策略，也需要分清楚。決定處理的是我在乎什麼、願意承擔什麼；策略處理的是怎麼表達、何時行動，以及情況改變時如何調整。
有策略，卻不敢下定決心，叫做內耗。當你能理解對方的失望，也容許自己承受失落，界線才有機會從心裡的想法，成為真正做得到的選擇。
