TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.TV - Lantaran tidak dapat membayar biaya seragam, dua orang anak gagal bersekolah di sebuah SD negeri di Kota Tangerang Selatan, Banten.
Biaya seragam yang harus dibayarkan ke pihak sekolah sebesar Rp1,1 juta per anak.
Dua orang anak yang baru saja pindah dari sebuah SD negeri di Jakarta tak dapat melanjutkan pendidikan ke SD Negeri Ciledug Barat, Benda Baru, Tangerang Selatan, lantaran masalah biaya.
Padahal, orang tua kedua anak yang duduk di kelas dua dan lima tersebut telah menerima surat dari pihak sekolah yang menyatakan kedua anaknya diterima di SD Negeri Ciledug Barat.
Menurut sang ibu, ia diminta pihak sekolah untuk membayar biaya seragam dan buku sebesar Rp1,1 juta per anak hingga total biaya seragam untuk dua anak yakni Rp2,2 juta.
Namun, orang tua kedua calon siswa tersebut merasa kesulitan dengan besarnya biaya itu terlebih pembayaran tidak bisa dicicil.
Menanggapi hal ini, Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Tangerang Selatan akan memanggil dan memeriksa Kepala SD Negeri Ciledug Barat.
Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Tangerang Selatan sendiri telah membuat surat edaran untuk melarang adanya iuran dalam bentuk apa pun, termasuk biaya seragam maupun pembelian buku paket.
