NEAPEL: Heftiges Erdbeben mit Stärke 4,7! Plötzlich bricht der Berg abNeapel (Italien) – Erdbeben in der süditalienischen Stadt Neapel! Bei einer Erschütterung der Stufe 4,7 rannten die Bewohner am Freitagabend panisch auf die Straßen, 21 Menschen wurden verletzt, zwei von ihnen schwer. Es ist das stärkste Erdbeben in der Region seit 40 Jahren. Das Beben wurde um 19.46 Uhr registriert. Nach Angaben des italienischen Instituts für Geophysik und Vulkanologie (INGV) lag das Epizentrum in den Phlegräischen Feldern westlich von Neapel. Die Erschütterungen waren auch in der Millionenstadt selbst sowie auf den Inseln Ischia und Procida deutlich zu spüren.
Viele Menschen verließen aus Angst ihre Häuser und verbrachten die Nacht auf Straßen und Plätzen. Im Laufe der Nacht wurden zahlreiche weitere Erdstöße registriert, darunter ein besonders starkes Nachbeben der Stärke 3,8.
