Kepala Pemadam Kebakaran Kalispell Jay Hagen mengatakan, petugas darurat dikerahkan sekitar pukul 14.00 waktu setempat setelah menerima laporan kecelakaan.
Pesawat tersebut gagal melakukan pendaratan dan menabrak pesawat lain yang sedang terparkir.
Benturan memicu kebakaran besar di landasan.
Tidak ada korban di pesawat yang sedang terparkir.
Seluruh penumpang dan pilot yang berada di pesawat nahas itu berhasil keluar sebelum api membesar.
Petugas medis memberikan perawatan di lokasi dan seluruh korban diperbolehkan pulang setelah kondisinya dinyatakan stabil.
Dua pesawat yang terlibat dalam insiden ini mengalami kerusakan total.
Rekaman saksi mata menunjukkan api besar melalap landasan dengan asap hitam tebal membumbung.
Dalam salah satu video, terlihat pesawat memantul setelah menghantam landasan sebelum akhirnya terbakar.
Api baru dapat dipadamkan beberapa menit kemudian.
Pemadam kebakaran dari Evergreen, Smith Valley, dan Whitefish turut membantu memadamkan api yang juga menyebar ke area rerumputan di sekitar bandara.
