(LaPresse) Il presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella è arrivato a Seveso, per partecipare alla cerimonia commemorativa del 50° anniversario del disastro nello stabilimento Icmesa che provocò la dispersione di una nube tossica di diossina nella città della Brianza. Presenti, tra gli altri, il presidente del Senato Ignazio La Russa, il ministro dell'Ambiente e della Sicurezza energetica dell'Italia Gilberto Pichetto Fratin e il governatore della Lombardia Attilio Fontana. Il Capo dello Stato ha preso parte alla cerimonia al “Bosco delle Querce”, il parco protetto regionale nato sopra i terreni bonificati dopo l'incidente, nell’area del “Grande pioppo”, l’unica pianta sopravvissuta alle operazioni di bonifica e oggi inserita nel registro degli alberi monumentali.
