BOEING 747 KEEPS LANDING GEAR DOWN after DEPARTURE - B747 Classic (4K)

This Boeing 747 kept the landing gear down after its departure at Liege Airport. A few weeks ago I filmed one of the last active Boeing 747-200 (Classic) at Liege and after departure the pilots kept the landing gera down. A very rare occasion which usually doesn` t have anything to do with technical difficulties. On hot days, when the termac is warm flight crews sometimes keep the landing gear out for a few minutes for cooling reasons. A pilot once explained this to me but I don` t remember if they do it too cool down the gear in general or the brakes which they already used while taxing to the runway. If I remember it corrently it was for the brakes.

There are just 10 Boeing 747-200 Classics left in the world. The shown aircraft is 40 years old and it` s still going strong. The aircraft was parked at Jakarta for more than 10 years and after all these years someone decided to reactivate this classic jet. Great choice (especially for us aviation enthusiasts.
