Chronic conditions are something that effects a large portion of the population. Despite this, workplaces are not designed to support individuals with chronic conditions. It is important to reimagine the workplace and identify specific strategies employers can use to support employees with chronic conditions better.

Alyssa McGonagle is an Associate Professor of Psychological and Organizational Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Alyssa has been studying the challenges that workers and organizations face around chronic health conditions, and how to address them, for the last 15 years. Alyssa recently published a book on the topic titled, “Chronic Health Conditions and Work: Proactive Strategies for Supporting Employees and Doing Well by Doing Good."
