Ngày 6-6 vừa qua, Tổng thống Pháp Emmanuel Macron thông báo Paris sẽ cung cấp cho Ukraine máy bay chiến đấu Mirage 2000-5 cùng với việc huấn luyện phi công Ukraine sử dụng máy bay này.
“Chúng tôi sẽ khởi động mối quan hệ hợp tác mới và thông báo chuyển giao máy bay chiến đấu Mirage 2000-5 do nhà sản xuất Pháp Dassault cho Ukraine và đào tạo phi công Ukraine tại Pháp” - ông Macron nói. Theo tờ Kyiv Independent, dù việc đào tạo có thể mất từ 5-6 tháng nhưng cam kết của Pháp cho thấy đội bay của không quân Ukraine đang được mở rộng, với việc Hà Lan, Bỉ, Na Uy và Đan Mạch đã cam kết viện trợ tiêm kích F-16 cho Kiev.
