Für sie ist die Bewegung primär antiisraelisch und verweist auf die Unterstützung von Hamas und Hisbollah. Das Ziel der Vernichtung Israels sei seit 1979 Staatsdoktrin der Islamische Republik Iran. Ein möglicher Sturz des Regimes würde die Machtverhältnisse im Nahen und Mittleren Osten grundlegend verändern. Mit Blick auf Deutschland sieht die Islamwissenschaftlerin eine große drohende Gefahr, sollte der Iran stürzen.
