Pengacara Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL), Djamaluddin Koedoeboen menanggapi pantun dan sindirian Jaksa terkait kliennya yang menangis saat sidang pembacaan tuntutan.Menurutnya, tangisan politikus Partai Nasdem itu merupakan kesadaran tentang betapa kecil dirinya dihadapan Tuhan.
"Perlu kami sampaikan bahwa air mata yang keluar dari kesedihan adalah sebuah dialog seorang hamba yang telah tiba pada kesadaran tentang kecilnya diri dan betapa hanya pada Tuhan semata, segala kebesaran dan kekuatan itu," kata Koedoeboen dalam sidang duplik terkait kasus dugaan pemerasan dan gratifikasi di lingkungan Kementan, Selasa (9/7/2024).
"Lalu mengapa kita harus berhenti mengeluarkan air mata jika itu adalah kesempatan terbaik untuk menyentuh jiwa dan nurani kita," sambungnya.
Dia melanjutkan, SYL mengeluarkan air mata merupakan hal yang wajar sebagai manusia. Menurutnya, sahabat Nabi Muhammad Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, Ummar bin Khattab yang ditakuti iblis pun menangis.
"Bahkan tokoh besar seperti Umar bin Khatab yang iblis pun takut padanya, tak segan-segan menangis bercucuran air mata," pungkasnya.
