Jadi Imam, Jokowi Sholat di Masjid Presiden Joko Widodo Abu Dhabi Uni Emirat Arab
JAKARTA - Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mengunjungi Masjid Presiden Joko Widodo di Abu Dhabi, pada Rabu, 17 Juli 2024. Kunjungan tersebut dilakukan usai Jokowi disambut secara kenegaraan di Qasr Al Watan oleh Presiden PEA, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.Jokowi tiba di masjid sekitar pukul 14.20 waktu setempat dan langsung mengambil wudhu. Setelah itu, ia masuk ke area sholat laki-laki dan melaksanakan sholat sunah tahiatul masjid.
Selepas itu, Jokowi kemudian menjadi imam sholat dzuhur dan ashar secara jamak qasar.
Dalam sholat tersebut turut serta Menteri Sekretaris Negara Pratikno, Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Basuki Hadimuljono, Menteri Energi dan Infrastruktur PEA Suhail Al Mazrouei, Duta Besar RI untuk PEA Husin Bagis, dan Dubes PEA untuk RI Abdullah Salem Al Dhaheri.
Duta Besar RI untuk PEA Husin Bagis menyampaikan bahwa kunjungan ini merupakan momen bersejarah karena ini merupakan kali pertama Presiden Jokowi berkunjung ke masjid yang diberi nama atas nama Presiden Jokowi sendiri.
Lebih lanjut, Husin menyatakan bahwa kehadiran Presiden Jokowi di masjid ini bukan hanya simbol penghormatan, tetapi juga cerminan dari kuatnya ikatan persahabatan dan kerja sama antara kedua negara.
Untuk diketahui, Masjid Joko Widodo di Abu Dhabi terletak di area diplomatik Abu Dhabi dan dilalui Jalan Presiden Joko Widodo. Masjid Joko Widodo dapat menampung sekitar 2.500 jemaah.
Masjid tersebut berdiri di atas tanah seluas lebih kurang 3.766 meter persegi dan dibangun dengan pendanaan dari pihak PEA. Masjid tersebut mulai dibangun pada November 2021 hingga Oktober 2023 dan diresmikan pada 14 Desember 2023.
Kehadiran Masjid Presiden Joko Widodo menjadi simbol kedekatan Indonesia dan PEA setelah adanya Jalan Presiden Joko Widodo di Abu Dhabi. Sebaliknya, di Indonesia disimbolkan oleh kehadiran Masjid Syekh Zayed Solo dan Jalan Tol Layang MBZ.
