Non sono sinonimi, bensì due parole con due significati ben diversi: "zoè" sta a indicare la nuda vita per mezzo della quale siamo nel mondo. Ben diverso è il significato di "bios", che allude al modo in cui viviamo, cioè le modalità che caratterizzano ad esempio la vita contemplativa, la vita politica: quella vita che definisce il nostro dàimon, ovvero la parte più profonda di noi stessi.
Se nel corso della storia greca, ma anche di quella romana e, più in generale, di quella occidentale, molta attenzione sia stata riservata alla vita dell'anima, nella società tecnocratica moderna questa rischia di diventare un'operazione molto difficile, se non marginale.
L'apoteosi è avvenuta nel corso della #pandemia di coronavirus del 2020, un momento in cui "l'importante era la salute". Zoè diventa l'aspetto preminente su bios, e neppure l'istituzione che si occupa dell'anima per eccellenza può fermare questa tendenza.
Una forma mentis in cui "l'uomo diventa ricattabile, perché non ha altro che la salute, non c'è più trascendenza" e se la #Chiesa sostituisce l'acqua santa col gel mani, si prostra a questa logica in modo totale.
