Las autoridades de Minesota dicen que el FBI está bloqueando su investigación sobre la muerte de Renee Good, madre de tres niños y galardonada poeta, abatida a tiros en su auto por un agente del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE), el pasado 7 de enero. El Gobierno federal, contra todo precedente, defiende la inmunidad del agente del ICE, que ha sido identificado como Jonathan Ross, veterano de la guerra de Irak. Tampoco hay precedentes para su negativa a cooperar con la investigación del estado, señala el fiscal general de Minesota, Keith Ellison, que está demandando que se permita a las autoridades locales y estatales llevar adelante la investigación sobre el homicidio de Good y que el Gobierno de Trump cese en su campaña de “difamación” contra ella. “Estas son cosas de un Tercer Reich”, añade Ellison, al denunciar la intensificación de tácticas ofensivas por parte de los agentes federales de inmigración, tanto en Mineápolis como en otros lugares del país. “Es un ataque sin precedentes contra las instituciones estadounidenses”.
