Hilfsorganisationen beklagen Kürzung der Entwicklungshilfe
Die Welthungerhilfe und die Kinderrechtsorganisation Terre des Hommes haben die Kürzung der Mittel wohlhabender Länder für humanitäre Hilfe und die Bekämpfung von Armut und Hunger kritisiert. Beide stellten in Berlin den Bericht „Kompass 2025 – Zur Wirklichkeit der deutschen Entwicklungspolitik“ vor.Auch Deutschland habe 2024 erstmals seit fünf Jahren das international vereinbarte Ziel verfehlt, 0,7 Prozent des Bruttoinlandsprodukts für Entwicklungsleistungen bereitzustellen, sagte Joshua Hofert, Vorstandssprecher von Terre des Hommes. 2024 habe Deutschland nur noch knapp 30 Milliarden Euro dafür ausgegeben, gegenüber gut 36 Milliarden Euro im Jahr 2023. Im kommenden Bundeshaushalt sollten nach bisherigen Informationen noch weniger Mittel zur Verfügung stehen.
