Israeli attacks, threats fuel mass displacement crisis in southern Lebanon
Israel has escalated its military campaign, striking Beirut's southern suburbs for a fourth consecutive day and issuing an unprecedented forced evacuation order for the area, home to up to 400,000 people.The Lebanese health ministry reports 102 killed and over 600 injured since Monday.
Hezbollah has retaliated with drone and rocket attacks following the killing of Iran's supreme leader, while Israel has mobilised more troops in the south, aiming to create a buffer zone north of the Litani River.
In the West Bank, Al Jazeera's Nida Ibrahim notes that Israel's "security" rationale mirrors tactics used in Gaza and Syria to justify land seizures.
Meanwhile, Israel has launched its 13th wave of strikes on Tehran, issuing evacuation warnings for industrial areas.
