Ia mengatakan kedatangannya untuk bertemu dengan Presiden Prabowo Subianto membahas masalah Covid-19.
Sambil berjalan masuk ke Istana Negara bertemu dengan Presiden Prabowo Subianto, Budi Gunadi memastikan bahwa penyebaran subvarian Omicron terbaru di Indonesia masih sangat rendah.
Ia mengimbau masyarakat untuk tetap tenang dan tidak panik menyikapi peningkatan kasus di luar negeri.
Menkes tidak menampik bahwa terjadi kenaikan kasus Covid-19 di luar negeri. Namun ia meminta masyarakat tidak khawatir dengan kenaikan kasus tersebut.
Jumlah kasus Covid-19 di Asia belakangan dilaporkan mengalami peningkatan.
Negara-negara seperti Thailand, Hongkong, Malaysia dan Singapura mengalami kenaikan kasus Covid-19 sejak minggu ke-12 tahun 2025.
