AS Tak Terima Netanyahu Ditangkap, DPR-nya Dukung Joe Biden Deportasi Pejabat ICC dan Batasi Visanya
TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - DPR Amerika Serikat (AS), resmi mengesahkan Rancangan Undang-undang (RUU), Rabu (6/5/2024).RUU itu, memungkinkan Senat AS bisa menjatuhkan sanksi kepada pejabat Pengadilan Kriminal Internasional (ICC).
RUU disahkan, setelah 247 anggota Kongres Republik dan Demokrat AS sepakat menjatuhkan sanksi ke pejabat ICC.
Hal itu sebagai bentuk kecaman dari AS, atas perilisan surat penangkapan Perdana Menteri Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu oleh ICC terkait genosida di Gaza.
“AS dengan tegas mendukung Israel dan menolak membiarkan birokrat internasional mengeluarkan surat perintah penangkapan tanpa dasar terhadap kepemimpinan Israel karena kejahatan palsu,” ucap Ketua DPR Mike Johnson, Republikan dari Louisiana.
Dengan putusan RUU itu, orang-orang yang terlibat dalam penuntutan ICC akan dideportasi dari AS.
Akses visa para pejabat ICC mereka juga akan dicabut dan dilarang untuk melakukan transaksi properti di AS.
