In this video, I'll test five AI coding teams in Bambooed, where one model leads and plans the work while another handles the assignments: Opus 5.5 with GPT-6.1 Sol, GPT-6 Astra with Sonnet 5.5, Opus with Sonnet, Astra with Sol, and Opus with Muse Wonder Full. I'll explain the setup and then go through the six KingBench 4 tasks (the emulator, the Docker alternative, the 3D room designer, the QMK keyboard configurator, the Pokémon opening and the Fitbit desktop app), showing the team conversations, the apps themselves and where the teamwork helped or failed. After that, I look at the overall scores, the recorded tokens and costs, and what those numbers can and can't tell you. Finally, I tell you which lead-and-worker setup I'd start with and what I'd check before letting workers loose on my next project.

Key Takeaways:

👥 Five lead-and-worker teams ran all six KingBench 4 tasks through Bambooed, with up to three workers, 20 lead rounds and 50 assignments each.
🧠 The lead's plan shaped everything: both Astra-led emulators only planned file inspection for DS and 3DS, so those systems never ran.
🎮 Opus with Sonnet built the strongest emulator at 7.1, passing all 8 shared Game Boy diagnostics.
🔍 In the Opus and Sol room designer, a tester reproduced a blank-viewport bug the lead doubted, and a worker fixed it: the review loop I want from a team.
🛋️ Astra with Sonnet made the best room designer (9.3) and the best Pokémon game (9.1), including a healing center the lead caught as missing.
⌨️ Both Astra-led keyboard apps scored 2.8 because their assignments left out the actual device connection.
⚠️ Quota and rate-limit errors interrupted the Muse Full team and one Astra with Sol run, so those results aren't a fair capability ranking.
💸 About 936 million tokens and $405 of usage were recorded, but only 8 of 30 tasks have complete usage, so there's no cheapest-team winner.
🏆 Opus with Sol has the highest comparable total at 44.2 out of 60, with Opus with Sonnet close behind at 43.7.
✅ My pick to start with is Opus leading Sol, after checking that every required feature has an owner before the workers start. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
