Selain perbedaaan usia, pernikahan tersebut menjadi buah bibir karena Tarman memberikan mahar fantastis berupa cek senilai Rp 3 miliar kepada mempelai wanita yang ternyata palsu.
Dikutip dari Tribun Jateng pada Jumat (10/10/2025), Tarman rupanya juga sempat terseret kasus penipuan pada 2022.
Berdasarkan data dari Pengadilan Negeri Wonogiri, pria berusia 74 tahun itu divonis dua tahun penjara.
Barang bukti berupa rekening bank atas nama Tarman turut disita, bahkan sebagian dirampas untuk dimusnahkan.
Namun, Kasi Humas Polres Wonogiri AKP Iptu Anom mengaku belum mengetahui detail kasus penipuan yang menjerat Tarman.
"Untuk kasus kakek Tarman kurang tahu, tapi data tersebut ada di pengadilan negeri Wonogiri," kata Anom, Jumat (10/10/2025).
Sementara itu, pernikahan Tarman dan Shela digelar di Desa Jeruk, Kecamatan Bandar, Pacitan pada Rabu (8/10/2025).
Kepala Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) Bandar, Bakhrul Husaeni mengatakan bahwa pernikahan kedua mempelai sah.
Namun siapa sangka, cek mahar senilai Rp 3 miliar yang diberikan Tarman ternyata tidak dapat dicairkan alias palsu.
Bahkan, mobil mewah yang digunakan sebagai simbol mahar disebut merupakan mobil sewaan atau mobil rental.
Sehari pascapernikahan, Tarman dilaporkan kabur karena terindikasi melakukan penipuan.
