El ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de China, Wang Yi, se ha reunido con el canciller alemán, Friedrich Merz, en Berlín.Wang Yi dijo que el presidente Xi Jinping y el canciller Merz mantuvieron recientemente una importante llamada en la que ofrecieron orientación estratégica para los lazos bilaterales. Describió las relaciones entre China y Alemania como maduras, independientes y no afectadas por terceros. Wang acogió con satisfacción el enfoque pragmático de Alemania hacia las relaciones y pidió más intercambios de alto nivel. También dijo que China apoya el papel de Alemania en Europa y espera que el nuevo Gobierno alemán siga defendiendo el principio de una sola China.
