Create & manage Agent Instructions — Webflow Lesson
Agent Instructions give your agent context about your site — how your team builds, what your brand sounds like, which components to use, and which standards to follow. In this video, we walk through a real task to show how those instructions shape an agent's decisions during a session. We'll open a session with Claude and give it a specific prompt: add a feature section to the homepage using existing design system components and variables. You'll see the agent call the guide tool, read our stored instructions (a class naming rule and a design system skill), and build the section accordingly — using the right component, correct variants, and proper naming, all without repeating those requirements in the prompt.
We'll also cover what to do when results don't match your standards: asking the agent whether it used your instructions, reloading them, and refining the instruction itself with more specific guidance or examples. Agent Instructions work best as a living resource you improve over time based on what the agent gets right — and wrong.
