L’ultima campanella al liceo classico Scipione Maffei di Verona ha un rito tutto suo. Quando suona, i maturandi escono dall’istituto con toghe bianche e corone dorate, tra baci, abbracci e bottiglie di spumante stappate davanti all’ingresso. È una tradizione goliardica che si ripete da alcuni anni e accompagna la fine delle lezioni con una festa spensierata, ma composta. Per qualche minuto, davanti al liceo, si mescolano fotografie di gruppo, brindisi, risate e quella nostalgia che arriva quando si chiude una fase importante della propria vita. Per la maggior parte degli studenti comincia davvero la modalità vacanza. Per quelli dell’ultimo anno, invece, la pausa dura poco: finite le interrogazioni e i compiti in classe, resta ancora da affrontare l’esame di maturità.
