JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Penasihat Senior Lab 45, Andi Widjajanto menanggapi pernyataan Presiden Prabowo Subianto terkait dugaan makar dalam demo akhir Agustus kemarin.Andi menilai bahwa gerakan demo Agustus tidak terlihat adanya dugaan makar, namun hanya memicu amuk hingga terjadi sejumlah pengrusakan.
"Makar dalam artian tujuannya gulingkan presiden, runtuhkan Indonesia tidak ada. Tapi bahwa kemudian demonya mengarah jadi anarkis, menjadi amuk untuk menyebabkan kerusakan yang akhirnya memicu eskalasi politik tercapai," ujar Andi, pada Jumat (5/9/2025).
10 jiwa melayang selama aksi demonstrasi di berbagai daerah, yang diwarnai dan ditunggangi kerusuhan. Sebagian korban tewas akibat represi aparat, sebagian lainnya tewas terjebak dalam demo dan rusuh pembakaran.
