Tempat pertama yang didatangi Dipo dalam penelusurannya adalah ke mall Grand Indonesia, tempat di mana Arya Daru terlihat sebelum menuju gedung Kementerian Luar Negeri.Di sana, Dipo bertemu dengan Corporate Communications PT. Grand Indonesia, Annisa Hazarini untuk menelusuri titik-titik lokasi yang didatangi Arya di dalam mall serta menanyakan soal temuan penting yang berhasil dikumpulkan dan diserahkan pihak mall ke polisi sebagai barang bukti, selain rekaman CCTV.
Hasil obrolan Dipo dengan pihak GI menemukan hasil bahwa tidak ada laporan ‘lost & found’ yang diperoleh pihak mall GI. Setelah wawancara dengan Annisa, Dipo juga mendatangi ‘stand’ taksi yang dipesan manual. Diketahui sebelumnya, Arya Daru memesan taksi secara manual dari mall Grand Indonesia, dan setelah 5 menit ia mengubah tujuannya ke Gedung Kemlu.
