Doch diesmal ist es anders: Deutsche und französische Nachrichtendienste und auch die Bundesregierung sind sich sicher: hinter der großen Lügenkampagne "Storm 15-16" stecken Akteure aus Russland. Verfassungsschutzpräsident Sinan Selen erklärt im Kontraste-Interview, wie das BfV zu dieser Einschätzung kommt. Die Lügen haben es in sich: So wurde etwa behauptet, die AfD sei auf Stimmzetteln nicht aufgeführt oder Bundeskanzler Merz habe bei einer Großwildjagd ein Eisbärenbaby erschossen. Robert Habeck wurde illegaler Kunsthandel unterstellt und Annalena Baerbock eine Affäre mit einem Gigolo. Die meisten dieser Lügen sind bis heute online.
