Dua Gempa Dahsyat Guncang Filipina Selatan Picu Tanah Longsor, 7 Orang Tewas | SAPA PAGI
KOMPAS.TV - Dua gempa bumi magnitudo 7,4 mengguncang wilayah bagian selatan Filipina. Gempa pertama menewaskan sedikitnya tujuh orang, memicu tanah longsor, dan menyebabkan evakuasi warga pesisir akibat peringatan tsunami.Gempa kedua dengan magnitudo 6,8 dipicu oleh pergerakan sesar yang sama, yakni Palung Filipina, pada kedalaman 37 kilometer di lepas pantai Kota Manay, Provinsi Davao Oriental.
Pemerintah Filipina masih menghitung total kerusakan dan telah menyiagakan tim penyelamat serta bantuan darurat. Otoritas khawatir gempa kedua yang terjadi malam hari bisa meruntuhkan bangunan yang sudah rusak akibat gempa pertama.
