Secondo quanto riportato, l’azione sarebbe stata condotta da un gruppo di hacker identificati come cinesi.
Tuttavia, l’attribuzione geografica di un attacco informatico resta un tema complesso. In ambito tecnologico, infatti, la provenienza di un attacco può essere facilmente mascherata attraverso strumenti che permettono di instradare le operazioni da qualsiasi parte del mondo. Senza responsabili identificati e confermati, parlare con certezza di una nazionalità può risultare quantomeno prematuro.
Nel frattempo, emerge un altro elemento rilevante: l’infrastruttura tecnologica che supporta la pubblica amministrazione e molte grandi aziende è gestita da una società legata a #IBM. Secondo quanto riportato, questa infrastruttura sarebbe stata violata da diversi giorni, senza che siano ancora noti né l’entità dei danni né i dati eventualmente sottratti.
