Além dos SUVs, outra briga acirrada no nosso mercado é das picapes, e a novidade dessa vez vem da Volkswagen. Ela se chamará Tukan, e a Volkswagen nega que ela será uma substituta da Saveiro, com um raciocínio simples. Saveiro briga com a Strada, Tukan vai brigar com a Toro.Ela será lançada ainda este ano como o primeiro modelo híbrido. E ao contrário da Fiat, não terá uma bateria de lítio de apenas 12 volts, mas 48 volts. A fábrica ainda não divulgou detalhes da Tukan, mas será uma cabine dupla.
E a Volkswagen diz que cada novo lançamento da marca a partir da Tukan terá sempre uma versão híbrida com motor a combustão flex.
