Pecoraro Scanio "Dal museo Etrusco sfida su restauro e manutenzione"
ROMA (ITALPRESS) - "Il restauro è fondamentale, ma senza manutenzione il nostro patrimonio rischia di degradarsi di nuovo. È tempo di affermare in Italia una vera cultura della manutenzione". Lo ha dichiarato Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio, Presidente della Fondazione UniVerde e già Ministro dell’Ambiente e dell’Agricoltura, in occasione della presentazione del restauro del Ninfeo del Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia, realizzato grazie a una virtuosa collaborazione pubblico-privato con l’azienda Sphere.L’intervento, reso possibile grazie al sostegno economico dell’impresa, è stato accompagnato da una decisione inedita: l’impegno, proposto proprio da Pecoraro Scanio e accolto dall’azienda, di finanziare anche tre/quattro anni di manutenzione post-restauro.
"Sono particolarmente orgoglioso – ha spiegato – di aver suggerito a Sphere di garantire non solo il recupero dell’opera, ma anche la sua cura nel tempo. Mi è stato detto che un’iniziativa del genere non era mai stata attuata: che questo diventi un precedente positivo per il nostro Paese. E sono contento che il direttore generale dei Musei, Massimo Osanna si sia dichiarato entusiasta della decisione di finanziare anche la manutenzione". Secondo Pecoraro Scanio, il modello di intervento che unisce restauro, tutela e manutenzione programmata dovrebbe essere adottato come prassi da tutte le istituzioni, pubbliche e private.
"In Italia realizziamo opere straordinarie, ma spesso ci dimentichiamo di mantenerle. Lo stesso vale per le nuove costruzioni pubbliche: la mancanza di manutenzione porta inevitabilmente al degrado. È ora di cambiare paradigma", ha aggiunto.
Il Presidente della Fondazione UniVerde ha infine lanciato un appello a rendere strutturale questa visione: "Dobbiamo promuovere una cultura della cura e della continuità, che accompagni ogni restauro e ogni opera pubblica. Solo così potremo custodire davvero le nostre meraviglie artistiche e architettoniche per le future generazioni".
