Hamas says it will not disarm because Israel continues to target Palestinians in Gaza
Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida has said that calling for the group’s disarmament amounted to an attempt to continue Israel’s genocide.Disarmament is part of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan.
But the armed group says calls to lay down its weapons are unacceptable especially as Palestinians continue to be targeted by Israel.
More than 700 have been killed since the ceasefire came into effect in October.
