Командорские острова. Заповедная земля на самом краю России.
Она омывается водами Берингова моря и Тихого океана. Архипелаг находится между Евразией и Америкой.
Здесь в одном пространстве обитают животные с двух этих абсолютно непохожих друг на друга континентов. Морские пляжи, усыпанные валунами и галькой, соседствуют на Командорах с плоскими равнинами-террасами. Вулканические плато перерастают в пологие мысы, глубоко врезающиеся в океанскую поверхность. Между ними расположились живописные бухты с буйно заросшими берегами.
Неудивительно, что в эти места путешественники влюбляются искренне и навсегда.
