Rishi Sunak Kalah Pemilu Inggris, Ucap Selamat ke Pemenang Keir Starmer
JAKARTA, KOMPASTV - Rishi Sunak kalah telak dalam pemilu pemilihan perdana menteri Inggris.Rishi sampaikan pidatonya dan menerima kekalahan dari lawan politiknya Keir Starmer.
"Meskipun dia adalah lawan politik saya, Tuan Keir Starmer akan segera menjadi perdana menteri kami. Dalam jabatan ini, keberhasilannya akan menjadi kesuksesan kita semua dan saya berharap dia dan keluarganya baik-baik saja," kata Rishi Sunak dalam pidatonya dilansir dari AP, Jumat (5/7/2024).
Rishi juga menyampaikan terima kasih kepada rekan kerja hingga istrinya.
"Saya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada rekan-rekan saya, kabinet saya, Pegawai Negeri Sipil, terutama di sini di Downing Street, tim di Chequers, staf saya, CCHQ (Conservative Campaign Headquarters), tetapi yang paling penting saya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada istri saya Akshata dan putri-putri kami yang cantik," ujarnya.
Partai Buruh berhasil meraih 326 dari 660 kursi di parlemen dalam pemungutan suara di Inggris, Kamis (4/7/2024).
