Tra le reazioni politiche, la senatrice Susanna Campione ha parlato di «stupore e indignazione», mentre il consigliere capitolino che aveva richiesto la sala, Dario Nanni, si è scusato pubblicamente. Il caso è finito al centro del dibatti a Un Giorno Speciale con Fabio #Duranti e Giorgio #Bianchi.
La pena, la redenzione e l'asticella
Il punto, per Duranti, non è la presenza della Marchi, invitata da un'associazione che aveva preso in affitto la sala e di cui il Campidoglio difficilmente poteva conoscere gli ospiti. Madre e figlia, sottolinea, «hanno pagato il loro conto con la giustizia», e in un sistema che guarda alla redenzione delle persone «non c'è nulla di illegale» nel ritirare un premio. Può risultare sconveniente, certo, ma resta il nodo dell'asticella: «La mette la legge o la mette il buon senso?» Escludere chiunque abbia una condanna, o anche una semplice multa, porterebbe molto lontano.
A pesare di più, secondo il conduttore, è un altro fatto: la stessa sala sarebbe stata negata ad associazioni che chiedevano di organizzare un convegno sui risultati tecnici degli eventi avversi da Covid. «Questa è la cosa grave», rimarca, più della premiazione in sé.
