你有沒有想過，為什麼有些明明很不合理的設計和規則，卻一直存在？從飯店的透明浴室、餐廳的掃碼點餐，到公司裡填不完的表格，很多讓人不舒服的安排，其實都是某個系統為了節省成本、提高效率而做出的選擇。只是系統省下來的成本並沒有消失，而是換了一個位置，轉移到另一個人身上。
這件事放進人際關係裡也一樣。對方的沉默、逃避或控制，在他的世界裡，可能是當下最安全的做法；可是他的安全，也可能剛好建立在你的不安全上。
理解一個人的理由，不是為了替他合理化，更不是要你繼續忍耐。看懂規則真正的意義，是幫助我們把自己放回畫面裡，重新判斷：這個代價是不是我願意支付的？我能不能提出不同的需要、重新談條件，或者選擇離開？
別人的合理，不會自動變成你的責任。真正的清醒，是看懂事情為什麼變成這樣，也把選擇權重新拿回來。
