Inside Story With Priya | Women's Reservation Bill : संसद और विधानसभाओं में महिलाओं को 33% आरक्षण देने वाला बिल पास तो तीन साल पहले ही हो गया था. लेकिन इस कानून को 2029 के लोकसभा चुनाव से ही लागू करने के लिए संशोधित बिल सरकार लाई. इसके लिए संसद का विशेष सत्र 16 से 18 अप्रैल को बुलाया गया. इस सत्र में इस बिल को पेश किया . प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने इस बिल को सर्वसम्मति से पास कराने की अपील की.The bill providing 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies was actually passed three years ago. However, the government introduced an amended bill to implement this law starting only from the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. A special session of Parliament was convened from April 16 to 18 for this purpose. The bill was introduced during this session. Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed for the bill to be passed unanimously.
