Spaventati, ancora assonnati, si sono riversati in strada all’alba, cercando rifugio nelle aree di accoglienza della ex base Nato e di via Terracina. Ma ad attendere i residenti delle zone flegree della città di Napoli, buttati giù dal letto dalla scossa di magnitudo 4.4 delle 5:50 di questa mattina, c’era solo il vuoto. A denunciare l'assenza totale di assistenza e soccorsi è Rosa Esposito, consigliera d’opposizione della X Municipalità, che ha già inviato una PEC urgente alla Protezione Civile per chiedere l’immediata attivazione degli hub di supporto alla popolazione. Oltre al danno del personale assente, si aggiunge la beffa del degrado. Le aree d'attesa si presentano in condizioni di forte abbandono: erba incolta e strutture trascurate. La situazione non migliora all'interno dell'ex base Nato, dove i gazebo destinati al primo soccorso ambulatoriale e al supporto psicologico sono rimasti sbarrati, nascosti dietro i tendoni chiusi. «A mancare ancora una volta, a distanza di anni, non è la resilienza dei cittadini o la loro educazione alle buone pratiche di protezione civile», evidenzia la consigliera Esposito. «A mancare è l’attivazione immediata della macchina dei soccorsi per un fenomeno, come quello del bradisismo, che per sua natura non manda preavvisi».
