Julian Sands desapareció el 13 de enero de 2023 mientras practicaba senderismo en el monte Baldy, California. Durante meses, los equipos de emergencia rastrearon una zona cubierta de nieve y azotada por un clima extremo, hasta que sus restos fueron encontrados en junio. Pero su final resulta todavía más inquietante cuando lo relacionamos con algunas de sus películas. En Warlock, el brujo, unas huellas y unos clavos desempeñaban un papel siniestro; en otras producciones, Sands interpretó a personajes perseguidos por fuerzas oscuras, atrapados en parajes hostiles o enfrentados a una muerte inevitable.
