«A me spiace poi, ovviamente, che alla mia parte politica si dia un po' la colpa di essere indulgente nei confronti di alcune manifestazioni violente. Non so, non mi pare che dalle parole, per esempio, del mio collega, il sindaco Lorusso, sia emersa alcuna indulgenza. Poi la mia opinione personale è che quello certamente è un atto criminale, secondo me oltretutto perpetrato da persone che la Tav fa fatica a sapere cos'è, che benefici porta, che problematiche può avere, ma c'è la voglia della violenza per la violenza, quindi non bisogna assolutamente mostrare... Io non credo che noi a sinistra siamo indulgenti, ecco, dobbiamo stare attenti a non rischiare di mostrarlo. Detto ciò, ho molto apprezzato le parole del mio collega». Così il sindaco di Milano Beppe Sala, a margine della cerimonia di commemorazione della strage di via Palestro.
