Nach ihrer Flucht aus Ghana suchten LGBTQ+-Geflüchtete Schutz in den USA. Stattdessen wurden sie nach Kamerun abgeschoben. Dort sind sie ohne Perspektive, dürfen nicht arbeiten und fürchten erneute Verfolgung.LGBTQ+ -Geflüchtet aus Ghana reisten in die USA, um Schutz vor Verfolgung zu suchen. Obwohl ihre Rückführung nach Ghana rechtlich ausgeschlossen war, wurden sie im Rahmen eines umstrittenen Abschiebeabkommens nach Kamerun gebracht, einem Land, zu dem sie keine Verbindung haben.
Erneut Diskriminierung ausgesetzt
In Kamerun leben die Betroffenen unter strengen Auflagen, dürfen nicht arbeiten und warten auf Entscheidungen zu ihren Asylanträgen. Menschenrechtsorganisationen und ihr Anwalt warnen, dass sie dort erneut Diskriminierung und Verfolgung ausgesetzt sein könnten.
