Il maltempo ha cancellato uno dei simboli più suggestivi del Salento: l’imponente arco dei Faraglioni di Sant’Andrea, noto anche come arco dell’amore, si è completamente sbriciolato in acqua. Il crollo, avvenuto durante le violente mareggiate e le piogge dei giorni scorsi, rappresenta il danno più significativo subito dal paesaggio costiero della zona. “Un triste risveglio per il Salento”, ha commentato l’assessore al Turismo di Melendugno, Francesco Stella, sottolineando il forte impatto del fenomeno sull’immagine e sul turismo locale. L’evento mette in evidenza la vulnerabilità delle coste pugliesi all’erosione e agli effetti dei cambiamenti climatici, mentre la comunità locale e i visitatori piangono la perdita di uno dei panorami più amati della regione.
