Peristiwa tragis ini viral di media sosial dan mengejutkan warga sekitar.
Pihak kepolisian menyatakan pembunuhan terjadi di rumah korban saat keduanya berada di dalam rumah.
Berdasarkan keterangan sementara, pelaku diduga mengalami gangguan jiwa dan tengah menjalani pengobatan rutin di salah satu rumah sakit di Purbalingga.
Saat kejadian, K tiba-tiba mengamuk dan memukul kepala ayahnya dengan batang kayu hingga meninggal dunia di tempat.
Jenazah korban kemudian dibawa ke Rumah Sakit Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto untuk proses autopsi.
Pelaku telah diamankan di Mapolres Purbalingga untuk pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
Lokasi kejadian juga telah dipasangi garis polisi guna memudahkan proses penyelidikan.
Sementara itu, Inafis Polres Purbalingga masih melakukan olah Tempat Kejadian Perkara dan memeriksa sejumlah saksi.
Hingga kini, motif pasti di balik serangan brutal tersebut masih terus didalami penyidik.
