Tragedia nella tarda serata di giovedì a San Vito, quartiere della prima periferia di Lucca. Per ragioni al momento ancora tutte da chiarire due persone sono decedute e tredici sono rimaste ferite – una delle quali in modo grave – in un incendio divampato all’interno di un condominio con sede all’incrocio fra via Bertini e via Corsica. Fra le persone rimaste intossicate ci sono quattro bambini, compreso un neonato, le cui condizioni per fortuna non sono però gravi.
Le vittime, i cui nomi non sono stati ancora resi noti, avevano 65 e 73 anni. Le fiamme sono divampate attorno alle 23,30 all’interno di un appartamento al piano terra di un condominio sviluppato su tre piani. Non appena scattato l’allarme sono intervenuti nove mezzi inviati dalla centrale operativa del 118, oltre naturalmente a quelli dei vigili del fuoco che si sono occupati di domare le fiamme.
